Toots
Paws for Thought has looked after our cat, Toots, numerous times over a period of 5 years or more. Each time we have gone away has been completely stress free because we know that Julie is competent, understanding, reliable and very, very caring.
She sends us regular reports on how Toots is while we are away which is very reassuring. Julie has an expert but also natural way with cats, using her initiative and instinct in following our agreed care plan. She is happy to maintain routines but also flexible if necessary.
We can tell that Toots has been well cared for by Julie as she is always relaxed and content when we return home. Also, when Toots used to go to local catteries she would be anxious for a few days after returning home as she would have to regain control her territory from other cats in the area. Now she can stay in her own home and garden, where she feels she belongs. An additional benefit is having someone visiting our house regularly, keeping an eye on things.
We trust Julie implicitly and would not hesitate to recommend her service Paws for Thought.

Pandora

Pandora is a sensitive cat, and ensuring her happiness while we are away is of high priority to us.
Julie has been looking after her for over ten years, and Pandora makes the change from home to holiday care very easily (in fact on occasion I think she looks disappointed when we return!)
Pandora is a very affectionate cat who craves attention, and Julie ensures she receives as much love and cuddles as time allows. As Pandora is now getting older extra care issues are needed, and Julie is always willing to ensure everything is done to keep her fit and well.
I would not leave Pandora with anyone other than Julie for her holiday care, and the text updates and photos Julie sends me whilst we are away are very reassuring. This is not just a ‘feed my cat’ service it is Total Care.

Julie has been and is an absolute godsend to us in caring for our cats when we go away. She is a one hundred percent cat person and really takes time to understand their unique personalities and needs, but more than that she is kindness itself. Julie first cared for our last cat Freddie and when he developed health problems was able to give him medication and us complete confidence that he was in the safest of hands, her regular updates are so reassuring. We were heartbroken to lose him but eventually took the plunge and now have two one year old rescue ginger cats Teddy and Mabel. Again Julie has given them the most wonderful care. Julie is absolutely marvellous! She is so thoughtful, accommodating and caring and we could not have asked for a better service.
Julie has an obvious love for cats and this very much comes across in her manner and way of working. It was always so lovely to return to a very relaxed cat who has been able to maintain their daily routine. The detailed texts really show how Julie understands your cat and their personality, and it was always reassuring to hear from her whilst away. Julie never let us down and always did everything that we could have asked plus much more! Paws For Thought has been a constant in our lives for 10 years now. As long as we have a cat (and we can't imagine a life without a special feline); then Julie's visits are a must.
Having Julie visit our cat while we are away gives us piece of mind. Nothing seems to faze Julie; she takes on board any health need requirements or any tweaks in routine that our sensitive/ anxious cat requires. We’ve been using Julie’s fabulous cat sitting service almost since the very beginning. Her card dropped through the door at just the right time & over the years she’s looked after our two girls with such care & genuine love for them. They are always incredibly chilled out after her visits & clearly love the mega brushing sessions they receive.
It’s so comforting to know we have someone coming in who we can trust without question & depend upon. We’ve had a few occasions over the years when we’ve unexpectedly needed her assistance & she's always been able to help us out, often going above & beyond. We owe her more than we can ever express or she realises.

We have been using Paws for Thought since Julie started the service in 2013. We can’t quite believe it’s been 10 years! We collected a very miserable cat from a cattery earlier in that year and were worrying about going away again and having to put him into the cattery again. When a Paws for Thought card dropped through the door, we reckoned we had nothing to lose by giving Julie a call. We are so glad we did. Julie is undoubtedly a cat lover and she took the time to get to know Eric and his foibles. Eric can be quite aloof but when he hears Julie’s voice on her pre-care visits he comes trotting to see her, giving her his best display of affection. We are happy to go away knowing Eric is being looked after extremely well in his own surroundings. We look forward to the periodic updates of what he’s been up to whilst we are away which, again, offers peace of mind. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Paws for Thought. Jennine
Lohki, Buster and Coco
We found Julie when it became clear that our boy Buster was getting too old for the cattery, and It was time to find a less stressful care option for him when we went away. That was 8 years ago and we have never locked back. Since then our lovely old boy sadly passed away, and new additions Lohki and Coco arrived - 1 year old rescue cats with a couple of issues here and there, but we never had to worry about leaving them because we had Julie. Julie is not just a cat sitting service. She doesn't just pop in and feed them before quickly moving on to the next call. For the time you are away she is your cat's best friend - they will be given all me attention and care they need to keep them happy and make them feel loved and safe, because it’s not just about making sure that they get fed! It's so lovely when you come back from holiday to be greeted by happy, contented cats. We book all our trips around Julie’s availability - we would never have on furbabies with anyone else.
